Otay Mesa-Nestor Branch Library

The Otay Mesa Community planning area is a dynamic and rapidly developing area of the City of San Diego. The area is bounded by the Otay River Valley and the city of Chula Vista on the north, the U.S.-Mexico border on the south, Interstate 805 on the west, and the county of San Diego on the east. Otay Mesa is envisioned as a major employment center with two residential village areas and public trails that traverse the canyons and mesas. Otay Mesa is in Council District 8.

The group meets the third Wednesday of every month at 3 p.m. The meetings are held at the Otay Mesa-Nestor Branch Library, 3003 Coronado Ave.

El área de planificación comunitaria de Otay Mesa es un área dinámica y de rápido desarrollo de la ciudad de San Diego. In September 2022, the City Council approved changes to Council Policy 600-24, which defines the roles, responsibilities, and standard operating procedures of Planning Groups. These changes focused on improving transparency, broadening community representation, and reflecting Planning Groups’ legal status as independent organizations, consistent with the City Charter.

Agendas are made available 72 hours before the meeting’s date on the website link. The agenda will include information on physical location, zoom link, agenda items, and other information.

En Septiembre de 2022, el Concejo Municipal aprobó cambios a la Política del Concejo 600-24, que define las funciones, responsabilidades y procedimientos operativos estándar de los Grupos de Planificación.
