Balboa Park- Santa Fe Room

The Commission on Police Practices (CPP) hosts their regular business meetings on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. in person at Balboa Park’s Santa Fe Room [2144 Pan American W. Road]. The CPP has designated one Saturday per month as an additional potential meeting date. View the draft calendar for the remainder of the year.

CPP regular business meetings will often include closed sessions that are not open to the public. Closed sessions involve discussions about confidential personnel issues (For example: case and discipline reviews).

The public is encouraged and welcome to attend either in person or virtually and share their views. However, the Commission does not discuss specific complaints in these open sessions.

You can confirm a meeting and access the agenda and virtual meeting details at least 72 hours in advance. If this isn’t the case, please contact us.

Check the Agenda before going on assignment in case the meeting was canceled/changed!

The City of San Diego’s Office of Boards and Commissions was created in 2018 to support the day-to-day operations for the City’s 49 boards and commissions and serves as an access point to the volunteer members appointed by the Mayor and City Council.

These entities serve in a fiduciary, regulatory, policy-setting and/or advisory capacity. The Office includes the existing executive directors and staff positions that support the following: Accessibility Advisory Board, Commission for Arts and Culture, Community Review Board on Police Practices, Commission on Gang Prevention and Intervention, and Human Relations Commission.
